"Should we participate in Summer Game Fest this year? Are there alternative events more appropriate for showcasing our title? Should we host our own event?" These are the recurring questions I face annually regarding the timeframe formerly dominated by E3. What was once a unified event that gathered every publisher, developer, journalist, and gamer to celebrate the industry's top innovations has transformed into a series of smaller events taking place before, during, and after the traditional E3 week.
