The Xbox version of Hypercharge: Unboxed was purchased 40,000 times in three days

On May 31, the shooter about toy soldiers Hypercharge: Unboxed was released on Xbox. According to the indie studio Digital Cybercherries, the game's launch on Microsoft consoles was highly successful.

The developers reported that they managed to sell 25,000 copies of Hypercharge: Unboxed in less than 24 hours. Three days later, sales approached the 40,000 mark. As a result, the shooter reached 18th place in the top paid games on Xbox.

“It still feels surreal. We are a small team of six indie developers who released a game on Xbox that we dreamed of as kids,” wrote Digital Cybercherries on X.

Hypercharge: Unboxed was released in early access on Steam back in 2017. Three years later, it had a full release and, in addition to PC, became available on Nintendo Switch. The number of copies sold on PC and Nintendo Switch is not reported. In the future, developers plan to release Hypercharge: Unboxed on PlayStation consoles, but are not yet ready to name an exact date. Presumably, this will happen at the end of 2024 or the beginning of 2025.
