Zynga sold the NFT game Sugartown
Last summer, Zynga announced its first NFT game—Sugartown. A year later, the company got rid of it and sold "all products with assets" to the startup D20 Labs.

The terms and amount of the deal are unknown.
The new owners of Sugartown stated that negotiations had been ongoing for the past few months. They will continue working on the game and aim to enhance its quality as much as possible.
D20 Labs is entirely comprised of the Web3 gaming team members from Zynga. Notably, the startup was founded by the heads of the company's Web3 direction—Vice President Matthew Wolf and General Manager Tommy Ngo.
It's unclear whether the sale of Sugartown signifies Zynga's withdrawal from future experiments in the Web3 gaming space or if the company was specifically dissatisfied with this game. Zynga has not disclosed why it decided to hand over the title to D20 Labs.
