Ubisoft has announced its first blockchain game
Ubisoft continues to believe in blockchain. The company introduced Champions Tactics: Grimoria Chronicles — its first Web3 game.
The game will be an “experimental tactical PvP-RPG”. It will be released in the Oasys blockchain system and will be available only on PC. It is not yet known when the release will take place.
Ubisoft’s previous attempts to enter the blockchain market were not very successful. Two years ago, she opened the Quartz platform, where gamers could trade NFT items for the company’s AAA titles. This platform was immediately criticized by both gamers and some developers from Ubisoft. The first game connected to Quartz was Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint — its content support was discontinued in early 2022, four months after joining the platform.
