Analysts: last year, mobile blockchain games earned $455 million
There is a decline in the mobile blockchain games market. Analysts from Sensor Tower calculated that by the end of 2022, the revenue of such titles with IAP in Google Play and the App Store fell by 13.9% year-on—year – this is the first drop in five years.
In 2018, the revenue of mobile blockchain games totaled $194 million, in 2019 – $260 million, in 2020 – $411 million, and in 2021 – $529 million.
However, analysts noted that last year, as in 2021, the share of blockchain games accounted for 0.6% of the revenue of the entire mobile gaming market.
The highest-grossing games by the end of 2022 were Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds, Mir4, Highrise: Virtual Metaverse, Upland and Crazy Hospital.
