Square Enix will release an NFT collection in honor of the 25th anniversary of Final Fantasy VII
Japanese Square Enix intends to celebrate the 25th birthday of Final Fantasy VII in an unusual way. She will release collectible figures with built-in NFT. To do this, she entered into a partnership with Enjin.
As Square Enix explains, players will receive a special code included with the figures. It can be exchanged for an NFT version of these figures using the Efinity blockchain network.
The publisher has already opened a pre-order for the collection, the release of which is scheduled for November 2023.
In the spring, Square Enix announced that the areas of blockchain, cloud technology and AI will become strategically important for the company. She also said that in the future she plans to create “story-oriented” NFTs.
