Square Enix plans to create "story-oriented" NFTs
The Japanese company Square Enix held a shareholders’ meeting at which it shared its plans for the future. Among other things, she mentioned that she was going to create NFTs that would be written into the plots of the games.
It is still unclear what it will look like. Square Enix president Yosuke Matsuda added that the company has not thought about whether to add NFT to Dragon Quest or Final Fantasy.
Earlier, Square Enix noted that it wants to make blockchain an important part of its business. However, she will not spend money on the development of this direction, which she received after the sale of Western studios to Embracer Group.
