Apptopia: The number of new Web3 applications is growing at a record pace, but downloads for some of them are declining
Analysts at Apptopia have observed that mobile developers are creating Web3 applications more actively than ever before. According to their data, in 2022, such projects are being launched nearly five times more frequently than in the prior year.
Overall, since the beginning of the year, the number of Web3 applications available for download has grown by 88%.
At the same time, downloads of apps related to cryptocurrency and NFT have decreased. Specifically, the metrics for OpenSea and VeVe have recently dropped by more than 90% from their peak. Downloads of the top 50 crypto apps have fallen by 64% since November.
Analysts also noted separately that among all Web3 applications, only 5.7% are games.
