Media: NetEase's Onmyoji will be the first popular Chinese game to feature NFT
At the beginning of the week, the Chinese giant NetEase announced that it will soon release a collection of NFT cards for Onmyoji. The company promised to donate the money earned on tokens to save pandas. The estimated amount is ¥100 thousand ($15,17 thousand).
According to the GameLook portal, before NetEase, no Chinese developer officially added NFT to games (at least in popular ones).
Nevertheless, China has been showing interest in NFT for a long time. For example, last year Tencent published a collection of NFT avatars for employees. Later, this was repeated by Bilibili.
