IDC: sales of Meta Quest 2 approached 15 million copies
Meta Quest 2 continues to hold the title of the best-selling VR headset in the world. IDC has estimated that 14.8 million people have bought the device since its release in October 2020.
Analysts noted that against the background of the popularity of Quest 2, sales of VR headsets increased by 97% in 2021, and by 242% in the first quarter of 2022.
In November 2021, the CEO of Qualcomm, during a conversation with investors, mentioned that Quest 2 sold 10 million units. However, his company later contacted the media and clarified that these figures could not be considered official statistics from Qualcomm or Meta*.
