Zynga veterans have opened their own VR studio
Another industry veteran has launched a gaming startup. This time we are talking about Marcus Segal and Michael Pagano Doom from Zynga. They founded a studio that will focus exclusively on VR projects.
The developers named the company accordingly — ForeVR. So far, it has only ten employees. Note that the majority are former top managers of companies such as EA, Disney and Glu.
ForeVR plans to make accessible games that people “at any age” can play. The studio has already started developing its debut title ForeVR Bowl and is going to release it on the Oculus platform early next year.
At Zynga, we made online games that grandparents could play together with their grandchildren. I want to repeat the same thing with VR. The only way to realize this is to come up with a game for the whole family, for example, bowling.

The startup also managed to enlist the support of major investors and raised $ 1.5 million in a seed round of financing. This money will probably go to the development of the ForeVR Bowl. Among the sponsors of ForeVR are Twitch co-founders Emmett Shear and Justin Kan, as well as Zynga founders Mark Pincus and Justin Waldron.
