Pixonic announced War Robots for VR
Pixonic’s leading game designer Artur Mostovoy announced a new first–person shooter game for virtual reality devices War Robots VR: The Skirmish on the pages of the company’s official blog.
This is the first officially presented project of the Russian company Pixonic since 2014, when the mobile MMO War Robots was launched, whose total downloads this spring reached 50 million.
The new project develops the universe of the company’s mobile blockbuster. The game will be a free single project for desktop VR devices. Support for HTC Vive and Oculus Rift virtual reality glasses has already been announced.
According to a post on the Pixonic website, the game will be “the first, introductory chapter in the installation of War Robots VR.” In it, the user will control a huge robot while inside its cabin.
In addition to the game version, the developers also plan to release a 360-video gameplay. The launch of both the game and the video is scheduled for July this year.
