Voxelus startup launches a platform for creating VR applications
A platform for creating VR applications has been launched. Its developers are the Argentine Voxelus team founded by industry veterans. According to the authors, the platform will allow anyone to create games for virtual reality.
The company introduced Voxelus at the Oculus Connect event. It is conducted by the Facebook division, which is involved in the development of Oculus VR.
According to the developers, with the help of the platform, literally anyone – from the developer to the player – will be able to assemble 3D worlds, and then populate them with personally created characters. In other words, it resembles Minecraft for VR.

The platform works on both PC and Mac.
In the content created with its help, users will be able to play through Oculus Rift or Samsung VR headsets. The platform will have its own store. In it, game creators will be able to give away or sell their works. The currency in this case will be VoxCoins, the platform’s own in-game currency. The developers will show it later.
