In Russia, Fahrenheit on iOS costs twice as much as on Steam
The mobile version of the Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy reissue costs twice as much as the PC version due to the different pricing policies of electronic stores in Russia.
Screenshot: Fahrenheit: Indigo ProphecyThe American price tag of the updated game is common to all platforms: quite affordable $ 9.99.
However, this figure in Russian markets has managed to turn into two completely different ones.
On Steam, which preserves local prices for Russia, the project of the ambitious Frenchman David Cage can be purchased for 249 rubles.
In the App Store, which always strives to ensure that the price between the dollar and the local price is minimal, the game will cost more than 599 rubles.
So mobile games in Russia have become more expensive than computer games .
As for the reissue itself, which was simply adapted for modern devices, it came out exactly ten years after the release of the original project on PlayStation 2. The last one, we recall, took place on January 29, 2005. Nicely.
The original game was developed by the French studio Quantic Dream. The republication was handled by Americans from Aspyr Media.
Aspyr Media is a developer and publisher specializing in porting projects to Mac OS and iOS. Based in Austin, USA.Quantic Dream is a developer of games in which priority is given not to mechanics, but to staged, movie-like moments (the only exception is Omikron:
