iOS App Store — 6 years
On July 10, Apple‘s app store turned 6 years old. On this occasion, App Annie compared the top 5 apps of this and last year.
As you know, the iOS App Store began its existence in July 2008 with 500 applications, now the store has more than 1.2 million applications and over 75 billion downloads.
App Annie decided to demonstrate the growth of the market over the past year by comparing the top 5 free iPhone games in the United States, Great Britain and Japan related to the past and current year. So, last year it included BADLAND, Traktor DJ, Tiny Wings, How to Cook Everything and Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP. Among them, the places are distributed differently, but somehow the duplication of icons on the face.
Now the top 5 includes: Kim Kardashian: Hollywood, Oldify 2 – Face Your Old Age, Fit the Fat, taiko no tatsujin RPG dadon! and Facebook Messenger. The only conclusion that suggests itself is the almost complete absence of repetition of the positions taken.
The store of each of the proposed countries is full of new applications. Unfortunately, while such dynamics can be traced only by frish applications, in cash registers, for example, everything is static. But it is possible that with such a dynamic development of the store, as well as the desire of developers to take into account the gaming preferences of users from different countries, by the next birthday the variety of icons in the Top App Matrix will be much higher.
