American Google Play Gaming Tops (3rd week of 2014)

Supercell and King have captured the free and cash tops of Google Play, and in the paid one you can find far more than one game two years (or more) ago – this and much more in the weekly review of the American Google Play games market.

Free top

Supercell is very active in buying traffic on Google Play in mid-January. The Finnish company also started releasing commercials on American TV one after another. As a result, Clash of Clans continued its rise to the Olympus of the free top – 4th place.

But King concentrated its efforts on Farm Heroes Saga, which was overtaken by Candy Crush Saga in downloads, and “abandoned” massive traffic support for Papa Pear Saga, which dropped out of their top in a week.

Paid top

Curiously, the first part of Plants vs. Zombies is still holding up well. This is against the background of the situation with the second part, which is far from the most stable in terms of downloads (the income of Plants vs. Zombies 2 has been slowly falling for the third month, on January 28 it was in 101st place in the general grossing in the USA).

Tower defense – Bloons TD 5 has also been showing itself well for a long time.

By the way, for the second year, Need for Speed has been constantly returning to the paid top Most Wanted. Another game of Firemonkeys Studios -Real Racing 3 is less noticeable in the tops, but this does not prevent it from consistently staying in the box office hundred for almost a year.

Cash top

As in the App Store, in the top ten of Google Play, you can now watch as many as three games from King – Candy Crush Saga takes first place, Pet Rescue Saga – second, and Farm Heroes Saga – fifth. Otherwise, no surprises.

Much more interesting is what is happening in the next ten: in 11th place you can find the midcore Knights & Dragons, which GREE has been taking care of for the second year, and in 16th place is another game from King – Papa Pear Saga.
