The first games with Google Play Game Services support

Google has published in the official developer blog some details about the Google Play Game Services service, and also talked about the launch line of games.

Despite the fact that Google Game Services are similar in functionality to the iOS Game Center, there are several significant differences. This is not only multiplayer, which we have already talked about.  One of the fundamental differences is that Google Play Game Services integrates into games using the Google Play SDK, rather than being a separate application. The updated SDK can already be downloaded.

The first games to support Google Play Game Services, among others, were World of Goo, Eternity Warriors 2, Mega Run and Riptide GP. Modern Combat 4 from Gameloft is also included in the line of starter titles. It will be followed by other hits from this publisher, like Asphalt 7 and Dungeon Hunter 4.
