The mobile version of Halo 4 has been withdrawn from the App Store

Right before the closure of the App Store for the weekend, the attackers placed fake applications “based on” Halo 4 in the digital market.

Unscrupulous developers, hoping to make money on naive users, and also considering that their games will not be taken down from the App Store before December 28, posted two whole applications in the Apple app store. In both cases, it was assured that this was the official port of Halo 4 to mobile platforms. The description was accompanied by screenshots of the console version, as well as quite an authentic icon. In fact, by downloading one of the applications, the user received either a racing arcade made on his knee, or primitive chess. The price for both “versions” of Halo 4 was quite serious by mobile standards $4.99.

That’s what the gullible users who downloaded the mobile “Heila” gotIt is difficult to say now how much they managed to earn from this deception.

But the performers approached this operation quite seriously. They not only carefully designed the application page on the App Store, but also posted links to the creators of the original project, and also left a lot of fake five-star reviews (each made with a unique Apple ID), creating the illusion that the project is not a hoax.

Fortunately, despite the weekend and Christmas, iTunes Connect reacted quickly to what happened. At the moment, the applications have already been withdrawn from the App Store.
