PlayStation Mobile will start working in the fall
At Sony’s press conference held on the eve of gamescom 2012, the company announced that this fall it will launch a cross-platform PlayStation Mobile gaming service that supports PS Vita and Android devices.
According to the head of the European branch of SOE, Jim Ryan, the company plans to release games that can be played both on the PS Vita portable console and on smartphones and tablets that have received PlayStation Certified certification. By the way, at the same press conference it was announced that ASUS and, to the surprise of many, Wikipad received it.
Games purchased from the PlayStation Store will be linked to a user ID on the PlayStation Network, so one purchase within PlayStation Mobile will ensure the game on any certified device associated with this ID.
The service will be available in 30 countries, including the UK, USA, Canada, Japan, Australia, France, Germany, Italy and Spain.
