In a recent internal meeting, Xbox CEO Asha Sharma discussed the company's resurgence, stating that the gaming division is experiencing a revival after a period of stagnation. She affirmed that they are on a path of growth, with rates climbing significantly, although exact metrics were not disclosed.

Sharma highlighted Xbox's reinvestment strategies, which she believes are key to sustaining this positive trajectory. New titles such as Gears of War: E-Day, Minecraft Dungeons 2, and World of Warcraft Forever have contributed to this upward momentum. She underlined enhancements in Xbox's Game Pass, aiming to transform it into a more adaptable platform.

Discussing the future, Sharma revealed plans for Project Helix, the next-level hardware designed as a suite of devices instead of a single console, acknowledging the diverse needs of gamers. She emphasized the importance of maintaining a strong console while also addressing the demands of players on the move.

To boost the current Xbox Series X|S generation, increasing investments in cloud gaming, converting physical games to digital formats, and the Play Anywhere program are considered pivotal. Despite speculation, Sharma confirmed that Xbox will remain a part of Microsoft, committed to securing the brand’s success through strategic partnerships and operational models.

Amidst ongoing organizational changes, Xbox has reduced its workforce and divested some studios. Additionally, the company has restructured some of its internal teams, transferring properties like Rare and Halo to Activision, incorporating Obsidian into Bethesda, and aligning other studios like Turn 10 with Playground Games.
