Following the release of its Remastered version, The Witcher 3 has reached its highest-ever concurrent player count on Steam

The concurrent player numbers for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt on Steam have surged to a new record following the release of a complimentary Remastered edition from CD Projekt Red.

At present, the 2015 role-playing game is being enjoyed by over 120,000 players on Steam, placing it just below the top ten most-played titles on the platform within the last day.

Data from SteamDB indicates that this new peak surpasses the game's previous records, which include a launch maximum of 92,000 in 2015, a 103,000 player peak in January 2020 amid the popularity of Netflix's adaptation, and 89,000 in December 2022 coinciding with a next-gen update.

It's important to note that the current statistic excludes users on GOG, the Epic Games Store, as well as console players on PlayStation, Xbox, and Switch 2.

The Remastered version, accessible at no charge to existing owners, includes the expansions Hearts of Stone and Blood of Wine, and features improvements to graphics and gameplay.

Additionally, earlier this year, Netflix announced that the show's fifth season would conclude its series run.
