The developer of Escape from Tarkov has launched a publishing division
Despite the crisis in the industry, the number of publishers is increasing.
Battlestate Games, known as the developer of Escape from Tarkov, announced the creation of a division that will handle the publishing of third-party projects. It is named Battlestate Games Publishing.
The company plans to work on projects that have been rejected by others because they were “too ambitious, too niche, or too risky.”
There is no mention of a specific genre or platform focus. However, the studio’s management states that their focus is on supporting the development of exclusively hardcore titles.
“We will publish games that we want to create ourselves, and that we want to play ourselves. We are here to help bring well-developed, uncompromising, hardcore, and immersive projects to life,” stated Nikita Buyanov, head of Battlestate Games, in light of the announcement.
Important to note:
- The publishing studio does not plan to claim IP rights;
- As part of the collaboration, Battlestate Games Publishing offers support, funding, and resources;
- Projects at all stages of development are considered.
