Revenue has dropped, but Control Resonant already has 1.5 million wishlists — highlights from Remedy's half-year report

The Remedy Entertainment report for the first half of 2026 has arrived. In the document, the Finnish company not only disclosed its financial results but also shared the achievements of individual games.

Control Resonant

  • For the period from January to June 2026, Remedy's revenue amounted to €23.3 million. This is nearly a quarter less than in the first half of 2025. As the company explained, they had received substantial revenue last year from placing FBC: Firebreak on subscription services, although the game itself ultimately failed—this year there was no comparable influx of income.
  • Game sales brought in €8.75 million for Remedy, which is 28% less year-over-year.
  • An additional €14.5 million came from funds allocated by Remedy's partners for the development of new games. Recall, Annapurna Interactive is partially financing the creation of Control Resonant, and Rockstar Games is involved in the remake of the Max Payne duology. Compared to the previous year, development payments decreased by 20%.
  • Remedy ended the half-year with an operating loss of €2.9 million. A year ago, it reported a profit of €0.8 million.
  • The marketing campaign launch for Control Resonant contributed in part to the losses. Remedy is currently spending a significant amount on advertising the game in anticipation of its release, scheduled for September 24, 2026.
  • By August 11, 2026, Control Resonant had garnered over 1.5 million wishlists across all platforms. The game also showed an excellent level of pre-orders—it ranked among the top 3 titles with the highest number of pre-orders on PlayStation in the USA, Germany, and Brazil.
  • In the report, Remedy also announced that Alan Wake 2 sales had reached 3 million copies. The game achieved this in just under three years since its release in October 2023.
  • As of June 30, 2026, Remedy employed 379 staff members, six fewer than a year ago.
