According to the letter, the main goal of XBOX for the current fiscal year, which will end on June 30, 2027, is to become profitable again and actively attract players. In the next two years, revenue growth needs to be accelerated. After another year, XBOX aims to achieve a sustainable double-digit increase in the number of players, raise the XBOX margin to a leading industry level, and be "halfway to the long-term goal for daily audience" (which means at least 500 million people).

According to Sharma, to achieve all this, XBOX will have to adhere to four benchmarks:

1. Strengthening XBOX's own platform with a focus on the console;
2. Establishing Minecraft as the largest UGC platform in the world;
3. Turning successful games into global franchises;
4. Expanding popular franchises beyond games.

Additionally, Sharma stated that XBOX is moving away from a decentralized model of studio management. Now, teams will primarily focus on the strongest franchises.

Sharma also shared that the current daily audience of the XBOX ecosystem is about 100,000 people. Monthly, 500 million people use XBOX games and devices, and annually nearly 1 billion people. She added that three franchises in the XBOX portfolio already earn over $1 billion per year, but she did not specify their names.
