Microsoft's Xbox is introducing a starter edition of its Game Pass to Meta Horizon+

The starter edition of the Xbox Game Pass is now accessible to Meta Horizon+ subscribers. This offer is available to qualifying users within supported areas.

This development comes after Xbox partnered with Discord in May, extending similar benefits to Discord Nitro members as well.

The cost of a Meta Horizon+ subscription remains at $59.99 annually or $7.99 on a monthly basis.

This version of Game Pass provides access to over fifty games, includes ten hours of cloud gameplay, and offers various in-game rewards. Meanwhile, Meta Horizon+ boasts a catalog featuring more than one hundred virtual reality games.

Soon, players will have the option to emulate the Xbox gamepad using Meta Quest Touch controllers. Additionally, players who own an Xbox controller can connect it with their Meta Quest headset.

Earlier this year, Meta disclosed a strategic pivot for its Horizon Worlds platform, shifting its emphasis from Quest VR to mobile platforms. In addition, Meta has indicated an ongoing commitment to third-party VR software development while sustaining its investment in virtual reality, moving away from focusing solely on first-party projects.

Meta emphasized, "We'll continue to support the third-party community through strategic partnerships and targeted investments – as we have since the beginning."
