Rumor: Steam might allow users to sort wishlists

Valve might be preparing to expand wishlist interaction options on Steam. This was reported by Simon Carless, the founder of the analytics service GameDiscoverCo.

According to Carless, he learned about the potential changes from data miners. If their findings are accurate, there will be two key changes:

1. Steam users will be able to categorize their wishlists;

2. Gamers will have the option to choose which wishlist-added games they want to receive notifications for.

It is unknown when exactly Valve plans to release the update. Furthermore, Carless does not rule out the possibility that the company might not make any changes at all, and that the data miners might have only found signs of testing such options or misunderstood the information they discovered. Only time will tell how this unfolds.

In any case, Valve regularly enhances the functionality of Steam. For instance, at the beginning of summer, it updated the design of the store's main page, which included adding a personal calendar for users with information on upcoming games, increasing the volume of recommendations, and significantly revamping the "Upcoming Popular Releases" section.
