The company behind RuneScape, Jagex, has formed two new partnerships to expand its game, RuneScape: Dragonwilds, into Japan, South Korea, and Southeast Asia. In April, Jagex revealed its plan to launch the game in the Asia-Pacific region, announcing it as their "most significant international expansion" thus far. This expansion will see local versions in Simplified Chinese, Japanese, and Korean.

Jagex has teamed up with Graph, an arm of Active Gaming Media, for Japan, while H2 Interactive will handle South Korea and Southeast Asia. This initiative marks the first time in Jagex's 25-year history that one of its games will be released through an external publisher.

According to Jagex, these partnerships are a part of its RS25 strategy, which seeks to leverage the company's significant anniversary for global growth, expanding the franchise, and increasing investment in RuneScape's future. This move is a step towards taking the RuneScape universe to a broader international audience, building on the achievements of RuneScape: Dragonwilds.

Anna Mostyn Williams, senior director of business development and partnerships, stated that identifying partners with a deep understanding of regional markets and gaming cultures was crucial for the international expansion of RuneScape: Dragonwilds.

She highlighted that the collaborations with Graph and H2 Interactive are founded on a shared vision of the RuneScape franchise's long-term global opportunities and the distinct attractiveness of RuneScape: Dragonwilds to players across the Asia-Pacific region.
