Stronghold 4 has garnered over 250,000 wishlists
Steam users have shown great interest in the new installment of the legendary strategy franchise Stronghold. They added Stronghold 4 to their wishlists a quarter of a million times within just two weeks of the game's announcement.

"We are sincerely grateful to all our fans, new and old, who eagerly anticipate the chance to build, fight, and lay siege to castles later this year," wrote Firefly Studios in the Stronghold 4 event feed on Steam.
Alongside the announcement of this achievement, the developers released a demo of Stronghold 4, allowing players to get acquainted with the initial missions.
Recall that Firefly Studios first showcased Stronghold 4 during the PC Gaming Show 2026 presentation. In terms of the plot, it will be a prequel. Players will take on the role of a simple shepherd forced to become a leader due to a series of circumstances.
The exact release date of Stronghold 4 is still unknown. It is expected that the strategy game will enter early access sometime in 2026.
