Media: XBOX is preparing for large-scale layoffs amid financial difficulties
Ubisoft is not the only company planning to significantly reduce its workforce. As reported by Bloomberg journalist Jason Schreier, Microsoft's gaming division is also parting with some of its employees.

According to Schreier, Microsoft will announce layoffs in XBOX after the completion of its fiscal year, which means not before June 30.
This move is reportedly aimed at halting the further decline in XBOX revenue. In addition to layoffs, the corporation plans to significantly cut several divisional expenses, including marketing budgets.
The exact scale of the layoffs is unknown. However, as The Verge writes, there are rumors on the internet about potentially laying off more than a thousand people. Additionally, The Verge's sources indicate that XBOX might face restructuring or even the closure of several studios.
