During its summer event, Xbox revealed that both "Gears of War E-day" and inXile's "Clockwork Revolution" will be exclusively available on Xbox, with no plans for PlayStation 5 releases. The exclusivity is confirmed to be permanent, as shared by CCO Matt Booty, who also mentioned that future decisions on exclusivity will be made individually.

The event also showcased the upcoming "Hellblade" title Senua, and provided an update on "State of Decay 3". Both titles are scheduled to be available on PS5 in 2027. Additionally, the launch of the postponed "Fable" is set for February 27, 2027, and it will also be released on PS5.

In a dialogue with Gamertag Radio, Booty affirmed that live service games would remain accessible across multiple platforms and that planned ports, like the "Halo: Campaign Evolved" remake, will proceed as previously announced. He emphasized the importance of announcing platforms when revealing release dates, with each instance of Xbox exclusivity evaluated individually.

"Our goal is to provide compelling reasons for consumers to invest in Xbox, and to nurture our existing user base," Booty stated, highlighting the significance of exclusive content. This aligns with CEO Asha Sharma's remarks to Bloomberg about focusing on unique offerings to drive the Xbox platform's success.
