Fortnite has returned to the App Store worldwide, except in Australia
Epic Games announced this landmark event in the news section of its website. The company noted that this result was achieved due to prolonged legal proceedings in the United States.

Epic Games added that its battle with Apple is not yet over. In particular, the company is dissatisfied that Apple is ignoring the Australian court’s decision, which obligates Apple to abandon its monopolistic practices in the country. Consequently, Fortnite remains unavailable in the local App Store.
“We will continue to challenge Apple’s anticompetitive App Store practices of banning alternative app stores and competition in payments. We’ve seen momentum around the world to address these practices, with regulators passing laws in Japan, the European Union and the United Kingdom – but time and time again Apple has evaded the laws with scare screens, fees and onerous requirements. ” stated Epic Games.
The return of Fortnite to the global App Store took nearly six years: Apple removed the game from its app store in August 2020 due to the developers’ attempt to bypass the App Store commission. Last May, Fortnite reappeared in the American App Store, and a few months later, it returned to Google Play from where it had also been removed in 2020.
