According to his statement, this figure only pertains to the wishlists for Graveyard Keeper 2 on Steam, not accounting for versions on other platforms. How many times the game was added to wishlists outside of Valve's store is unknown.

According to data from SteamDB, Graveyard Keeper 2 currently ranks 110th among the most anticipated games on Steam. It narrowly surpasses another upcoming release from tinyBuild, the sci-fi repair simulator The Lift.

It's worth noting that the development of Graveyard Keeper 2 is being handled by the Russia-rooted studio Lazy Bear Games. The game’s plot involves gamers taking on the role of the Great Inquisitor, who oversees a medieval cemetery and the adjacent town. The town must be spruced up and protected from an undead invasion — with the added twist of being able to use the undead for the town's defense.

The exact release date for Graveyard Keeper 2 hasn't been announced yet, but it is known to be slated for 2026 on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and Nintendo Switch.

Incidentally, in celebration of the sequel announcement, tinyBuild and Lazy Bear Games organized a free giveaway of the original Graveyard Keeper, which ends today at 8:00 PM Moscow time. As a result of the promotion, the game managed to reach a new peak player count on Steam, reaching 46,305 players — nearly three times its previous record.
