According to the strategy's authors, only the first act of the story campaign will be available at launch — the rest will unlock after the full release. However, besides this, gamers will be able to try out several single-player scenarios. There will also be a preliminary version of the map editor allowing players to create their own stories.

The upcoming "Heroes" is one of the most anticipated games on Steam. Currently, Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era ranks 10th in the top upcoming titles by wishlist count, right after Fable, Windrose, and ARK 2.

The exact number of people who have added Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era to their wishlist is unknown as of today. The game developers last provided data in October 2025, when the wishlist count officially surpassed one million. However, according to Gamalytic, the strategy boasts 1.8 million wishlists on Steam.

It's also worth noting that the demo version of Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era achieved excellent results. At its peak, it was played by 24,157 concurrent Steam users — while the hype has decreased, the daily online presence remains steady at about a thousand users. Against this backdrop, the demo has garnered a "Mostly Positive" (78%) rating on Steam.

The early version of Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era will be playable on Steam and Microsoft Store. Additionally, the strategy will be available in the Game Pass subscription catalog for PC. It is expected to reach full release approximately in a year.
