In its statement, Apple emphasized that not only will the standard commission be reduced in the Chinese App Store, but also the discounted commission for developers with lower revenue. Currently, teams earning less than one million dollars a year must pay Apple a 15% commission, but within a few days, their fees will drop to 12%.
Additionally, the commission on mini-apps and mini-games available in the Chinese App Store will decrease from 15% to 12%.
As Apple explained, it agreed to reduce the commission after "negotiations with a regulator from China." The corporation did not share the details of these discussions.
