At the start of the Steam "Next Fest," 3,900 demos were released

On February 23, the demo festival "Games to Be" (also known as Next Fest) kicked off, which is actively promoted on Steam's main page each time.

Traditionally, participating in it is believed to allow a quality project to gather a number of wishlists as well as initial key metrics (plus feedback).

According to market expert Simon Carless, this time the festival was very eventful. A total of 3,900 demo versions were published.

Carless notes that by the end of the event, which will run until March 2, some will likely be culled. Valve will weed out the non-functional ones.

For comparison, the autumn Next Fest featured 2,900 games, and last February, just over 2,300 games were submitted.
