Pathologic 3 was released on Steam with 79% positive reviews

On January 9, one of the early notable releases of 2026, Pathologic 3, was launched. Within just a few debut days, the Steam version of the game garnered a "mostly positive" rating.

As of the time of writing this news, Pathologic 3 had received over 700 reviews on Steam, with 79% of reviewers praising the game. Critics lauded the game's dark atmosphere but also pointed out several downsides. For instance, the reworked gameplay met mixed reactions: the removal of "survival" elements and the introduction of a time travel mechanic, which makes the narrative nonlinear, were particularly criticized. Nevertheless, many gamers acknowledged that Pathologic 3 managed to surprise and captivate them.

According to data from the Steam Scout service, 55% of the reviews for Pathologic 3 on Steam are written in Russian. They are followed by reviews in English (39.4%) and Brazilian Portuguese (2.9%).

The online player count for the Steam version of Pathologic 3 is also strong. At its peak, it managed to attract 3,296 concurrent players — the best result on Steam for projects from the studio Ice-Pick Lodge in the entire history of the SteamDB service.
