At the 2025 Steam Awards, Hollow Knight: Silksong was honored with the Game of the Year award
The Steam Awards for 2025 have revealed their honorees, with "Hollow Knight: Silksong" taking home the prestigious Game of the Year title.
Developed by Team Cherry, the much-anticipated sequel to 2017's "Hollow Knight" also secured a win for Best Game You Suck At, making it the only game to earn two awards.
"Silksong" achieved over 500,000 concurrent Steam players within a day of its release last September, placing it among the Top 20 largest Steam games by concurrent player count.
Meanwhile, Supergiant Games’ "Hades 2" was awarded Best Game on Steam Deck, with 112,000 concurrent players during its early access debut.
AdHoc Studios’ "Dispatch," known for its compelling narrative, claimed the Outstanding Story-Rich Game Award, selling one million units in just 10 days.
Other awards distributed included Best Soundtrack for "Clair Obscur: Expedition 33," Outstanding Visual Style for "Silent Hill F," and Most Innovative Gameplay for "Arc Raiders."
Additional winners were "The Midnight Walk" for VR Game of the Year, "Baldur’s Gate 3" for the Labor of Love Award, "Peak" for the Better with Friends Award, and "RV There Yet" for the Sit Back and Relax Award.
