After five years, Fortnite has returned to Google Play
The game was absent from the Google app store since August 2020.

Epic Games announced the return of Fortnite to Google Play on its account on X. According to the company, this means Google has complied with a U.S. court ruling.
It is important to note that Fortnite has become available for download from Google Play only in the United States. In other countries, it remains unavailable on this store, but Epic Games is optimistic and suggests to "stay tuned for updates."
A month ago, Google and Epic Games announced that they are ready to cease legal proceedings and reach a settlement. They have submitted the draft deal to a California court and are now awaiting approval—a hearing regarding this is scheduled for January 22, 2026. It is possible that amendments to the agreement may be necessary. Previously, the presiding judge stated that the current form of the agreement does not satisfy the court.
Recall that earlier this year, Fortnite also returned to the App Store — also only in the U.S.
