Burny Games, a mobile game developer based in Ukraine, has revealed plans to move into the realm of publishing. This strategic move is aimed at enhancing the company's capability to explore innovative formats more swiftly, widen its assortment of games, and bolster emerging teams within the gaming sector.
The studio's first publishing endeavor involves collaborating with Infinity Games to deliver a word association puzzle game titled Colorwood Associations.
The company highlighted in a recent press statement that Ukraine has limited product-focused studios and even fewer entities dedicated to publishing. Burny's strategic intention is to alter this scenario by combining robust internal development with a discerning approach to publishing, paving the way for new teams and novel gaming experiences.
Burny has over 130 employees and plans to recruit about ten additional staff members by the end of the current year, with further growth anticipated in 2026.
Anatolii Henis, CEO of Burny Games, remarked, “We’re not interested in pumping out a hundred prototypes a year. We focus on only the ideas we genuinely believe in and go all-in on them.”
