Steam chart for the week of November 18: Anno 117: Pax Romana entered the top three in sales, while Escape from Tarkov debuted in ninth place
We report on the situation in the Steam top-grossing products chart for the week from November 11 to November 18.
- One of the main Steam releases of the week is Escape from Tarkov by Battlestate Games. Despite players' dissatisfaction with the game's state and monetization policy, the project managed to sell half a million copies on Valve's platform. As a result, it has ranked in the top 10 best-selling games of the past seven days.
- The game in the interactive fiction genre, Dispatch by AdHoc Studio, continues to demonstrate excellent sales momentum. The project has proven the relevance of the episodic distribution model in digital retail. Released on October 22, the game has remained in the top 10 for four consecutive weeks, earning more in the short term than Dota 2 and Marvel Rivals.
- Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 appeared in the sales charts following its release (it was previously available for pre-order). However, despite the strength of the IP, the game could not claim the top spot. It was outperformed in weekly revenue by Counter-Strike 2, ARC Raiders, and even the new strategy game from Ubisoft.
- Speaking of the latter, the main surprise was the appearance of Anno 117: Pax Romana in the top 3 in terms of weekly revenue. The economic strategy about the Roman Empire has sold between 200,000 to 400,000 copies, according to various estimates.
