The unexpected cooperative game success on Steam, RV There Yet?, has reached sales of 1.3 million copies

The cooperative game RV There Yet? has surpassed 1.3 million sales on Steam since its release on October 21, a development that has pleasantly startled its developer, Nuggets Entertainment.
Community manager Jace Varlet shared in a YouTube update that overnight the sales skyrocketed from 1 million to nearly 1.3 million copies. "The game's success is far beyond our expectations," Varlet noted.
Hailing from Skövde, Sweden, Nuggets Entertainment is behind this debut game and is also developing another title called Among the Wild, a first-person farming game unveiled the previous year.
In RV There Yet?, players find themselves taking an unexpected route through rural areas while returning from a vacation in an RV. The gameplay requires players to collaborate in tackling challenges by utilizing winches attached to the RV to navigate out of tricky spots.
The gameplay also includes the ability to engage in activities like smoking and drinking, along with using emergency medical supplies as they encounter wildlife such as snakes and bears.
Analysis from Video Game Insights shows that European players make up 49% of the user base, with 26% residing in North America. SteamDB reported a peak concurrent player count of 96,985 in a single day.
This chaotic multiplayer experience is reminiscent of a previous success, Peak, which rapidly sold 1 million copies within a week of its release, reaching 9.7 million by August. Similar to Peak, RV There Yet? is priced affordably, currently available for £6.02 after a discount from its original price of £6.69.
