Leading gaming platforms are on the mend following an AWS outage that impacted thousands of applications and websites, including PlayStation Network, Roblox, and Fortnite
Various online services, such as Fortnite, Roblox, and PlayStation Network, among others, including several prominent banking platforms, are beginning to recover after an outage affected Amazon Web Services (AWS) earlier today.
According to AWS, the disruption, caused by a DNS mistake, is showing "significant signs of recovery." This incident disrupted thousands of online operations, impacting around a third of the internet. The majority of the disruption was centered in the "US East 1 Region."

Following extensive outages throughout the day, an update on the Epic Games Status page indicates: "The service provider outage is resolved and Fortnite is back online, alongside all other Epic services! Players should again be able to log-in and matchmake without issue."
Nevertheless, AWS' status page still describes the service as "degraded."
The latest AWS update states: "Our mitigations to resolve launch failures for new EC2 instances continue to progress and we are seeing increased launches of new EC2 instances and decreasing networking connectivity issues in the US-EAST-1 Region."
