Hades 2 attracts more than 112,000 players simultaneously on Steam

Over its launch weekend, "Hades 2" achieved a milestone on Steam, with more than 112,000 players logging in concurrently, surpassing its previous early access record.

Information from SteamDB reveals that the game hit its highest player count of 112,947 users following its official release on September 25, 2025.

The game's early access debut in May previously saw a peak of over 103,000 concurrent players.

According to Gamesradar, this turnout doubles that of the original "Hades," which had a peak of 54,240 players during the sequel's early access period.

The debut of "Hades 2" has also rejuvenated interest in the original "Hades," boosting its concurrent player numbers to 19,029.

Recently, "Hades 2" claimed the top spot on Metacritic's highest-rated PC games of 2025 list, surpassing titles like Blue Prince, Hollow Knight: Silksong, and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.

Currently, it boasts a Metascore of 95 on PC and an aggregate score of 94.

According to Alinea Analytics, sales of the game exceeded two million copies on Steam during its early access phase, generating around $50 million in revenue.

Remarkably, around 1.5 million of these sales occurred within just two months of its launch.

Released initially as a timed exclusive for the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 consoles, the physical version of "Hades 2" is set to be released on November 20, 2025.
