Experienced professionals in the industry have established a new publishing company in Australia called Midnighters
A new publishing entity known as Midnighters has been established by seasoned professionals in the gaming industry.
This Australian company is overseen by a quartet of directors: Zea Wolfe, who has previous ties with Massive Monster and Die Gute Fabrik; Jair McBain with a background in Land & Sea and Lune Interactive; Aaron Oak from Zero Dimension and Funselektor; and Jacob Vincent also from Funselektor and Wymac Gaming Solutions.
Midnighters aims to utilize their combined expertise to assist independent developers, promoting sustainable game development practices. Their offerings encompass an array of services, including project management, marketing, release management, public relations, business development, and community engagement.
The publisher extends its support by providing either full-service or minimal involvement in publishing, which includes initial funding or support in exchange for a smaller portion of project earnings than typically demanded.
Wolfe commented on traditional publishing models through Game Developer, stating they often fall short of meeting the requirements of indie developers. Wolfe highlighted their approach is molded by their own experiences as creators, aiming to better support developers in their creative endeavors.
Midnighters is presently collaborating with Alien Cat x Nomo Studio on a project to publish the cozy room decoration game, Momento.
The publisher is welcoming new ideas and invites developers to submit their proposals using the provided form.
