UFO 50, Prince of Persia The Lost Crown, and The Plucky Squire — which games do Steam Deck owners prefer to play
The founder of GameDiscoverCo, Simon Carless, decided to explore which games are popular among Steam Deck owners. He approached the task from an unconventional angle.
Here’s a bit of background: a little over a year ago, Steam began marking game reviews written by gamers who played them “primarily” on Steam Deck, indicating playtime on the portable PC. These reviews caught the analyst’s attention.
Carless compiled a list of premium games* with the highest percentage of reviews from gamers who preferred the Steam Deck version.
The leader was a retro-style game collection, UFO 50, with 20.2% of its Steam reviews written by users who mostly played on Steam Deck. The second place was taken by the action RPG Dungeons of Hinterberg with a share of 17.71%.
Here is the full top 10:
1. UFO 50 — 20.23% of reviews;
2. Dungeons of Hinterberg — 17.71% of reviews;
3. OlliOlli World — 17.7% of reviews;
4. Minishoot’ Adventures — 15.63% of reviews;
5. 1000xRESIST — 15.56% of reviews;

9. Sea of Stars — 14.07% of reviews;
10. Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection Vol. 1 — 13.57% of reviews.
We also note some games that made it into the more extensive top 30. Among them were, for example, Rollerdrome (12.4%), NINJA GAIDEN: Ragebound (10.97%), COCOON (10.73%), and Sackboy: A Big Adventure (10.4%).
*The selection included paid titles on Steam with revenues exceeding one million dollars and at least one hundred reviews from users who played them on Steam Deck at least 50% of the time.
