Luca Galante, the creator of Vampire Survivors and founder of Poncle, introduced a publishing branch named Poncle Presents with the aim of "giving back to the indie community."

In an interview with GamesRadar, Galante discussed that after Poncle’s growth, they launched Poncle Presents to pass on their learnings from Vampire Survivors to other independent developers.

“We were fortunate with the success of Vampire Survivors,” he said. “Despite some errors in its launch, we learned immensely and wanted to share our insights with fellow indie developers.”

He emphasized using their success as a means to support the indie development scene.

In September 2024, Poncle unveiled Poncle Presents, clarifying that it wouldn’t be a conventional publisher but rather serve as a supportive label or fund for developers to craft "their own games."

Galante expressed discontent with many existing publishers, citing their practices as examples of what not to do.

He criticized some publishers for exploiting platforms by releasing incomplete games, noting that true value lies in creating authentic products even if they don’t all become major hits.

Poncle Presents commits to ongoing support of titles after launch, regardless of their initial success, recognizing the responsibility to fairly treat all players.

Thus far, the publisher has released two indie games priced under $5: Doonutsaur’s Kill the Brickman and Nao Games’ Berserk or Die.

The focus remains on aiding small, transparent teams, with Galante defining a publisher’s purpose as fostering contentment in both developers and players rather than merely seeking profit.

While there is no current plan for a follow-up to Vampire Survivors, an animated series based on the game was approved for development, as announced in 2023.
