Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater became the sixth most popular Konami game on Steam

On the evening of August 28, Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater was officially released on PCs and consoles — the game was available to Deluxe Edition holders two days earlier. According to SteamDB, within a few hours, the peak online count for the remake on Steam reached 19,634 players.

Only five Konami published titles have managed to attract more concurrent players on Steam — these are Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links (21,500 players), the Silent Hill 2 remake (23,600 players), eFootball (27,500 players), Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain (91,190 players), and Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel (262,680 players).

Most players enjoyed Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater. Currently, the newcomer has over 3,000 reviews on Steam, 81% of which are positive.

Nevertheless, there has been some criticism. Primarily, Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater is criticized for insufficient optimization and bugs. Konami has already announced that they are aware of the issues and plan to fix them soon.
