Microsoft suggests a "more affordable" version of Xbox Cloud Gaming
Microsoft is considering introducing a less expensive version of its Xbox Cloud Gaming service.
During a discussion on the Official Xbox Podcast, Xbox's vice president for gaming devices and ecosystem, Jason Ronald, expressed the company's goal to enhance the service's "accessibility" to gamers, as reported by The Verge.
"We notice many gamers utilize Game Pass Ultimate for cloud access, whether it's their main gaming method or a supplementary option for mobile play," Ronald stated.
He further mentioned, "This initiative facilitates making the service more affordable and accessible. We’re exploring new regions and innovative methods to engage with the Xbox cloud."
Ronald also addressed the strategic multi-year deal with AMD announced recently, emphasizing its focus on advancing the next wave of consoles, portable devices, PCs, and cloud infrastructure.
"At Microsoft, we are intensely dedicated to hardware and silicon advancements to surpass the limitations of present-day devices," said Ronald, according to PureXbox.
He elaborated, "Our partnership with AMD focuses on developing customized silicon and hardware to power next-gen gaming experiences, including deep investment in emerging rendering technologies."
Ronald added, "We're also dedicated to developing custom silicon to support the next frontier of AI, which will transform gaming experiences. It opens new opportunities for developers to create unprecedented experiences."
