Pre-orders for Battlefield 6 and the new Mafia top the Steam chart among paid games
A new chart of the best-selling games on Steam has been released, covering sales from the week of August 5 to August 12.
Battlefield 6
The most notable change in the chart compared to the previous week is that a successful beta test helped Battlefield 6 dethrone Grounded 2 from the top spot in the paid games category. Overall, the shooter is in second place, right behind the traditionally leading Counter-Strike 2. As for Grounded 2, it fell to the tenth place in the paid top and to 13th place overall.
Following Counter-Strike 2 and Battlefield 6 is Mafia: The Old Country, which surged 32 positions in the overall chart after its release on August 7.
A 65% discount brought Cyberpunk 2077 back into the top five. The chart also saw the entry of the Phantom Liberty expansion, which secured 12th place.
We would like to highlight several new releases: Tiny Bookshop debuted at 32nd place, Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles 2 landed at 60th place, and Is This Seat Taken? reached 94th place.
