Genshin Impact is set to be phased out on PlayStation 4

MiHoYo has planned to gradually end support for Genshin Impact on the PlayStation 4.

In a statement released on its official forum, the company cited "hardware performance and platform application size" as reasons for this decision.

The game's phased removal begins with its withdrawal from the PlayStation Store on September 10, 2025.

MiHoYo clarified that users who have previously downloaded Genshin Impact will remain able to re-download the game even after removal.

The ability to make in-game purchases will cease on February 2, 2026. Until then, "top-ups and purchases will be offered through both the PlayStation Store and the in-game shop".

Support will conclude on April 8, 2026, allowing continued access and updates on PS4 up to this date.

After this point, players will lose access to the game on that console, and updates will no longer occur.

Additionally, prior to the game's update termination on PS4, players can still claim any items purchased from the PlayStation Store by logging into the game.
