The PlayStation 4 version of Genshin Impact is set to be discontinued

MiHoYo has revealed its plan to phase out Genshin Impact on the PlayStation 4. In a statement on its community forum, the company cited constraints related to the hardware's capabilities and the size of the platform application as reasons for this decision.
The game will be withdrawn in stages, beginning with its removal from the PlayStation Store on September 10, 2025. Despite this, MiHoYo confirmed that users with PlayStation Network accounts who have previously downloaded the game will be able to re-download it even after it has been removed from the store.
Starting February 2, 2026, players will no longer be able to make in-game purchases. Until then, transactions can still occur through the PlayStation Store or the in-game shop.
The final phase will occur on April 8, 2026, when support for Genshin Impact on the PS4 will come to a close. Players will be able to log in and access update patches up until support is officially ended. After this cutoff, access to the game and its updates will be discontinued on the platform.
Additionally, MiHoYo assured players that any items bought from the PlayStation Store but not yet claimed in-game will still be retrievable by logging into the game on the PS4 prior to the end of support.
